Have you ever seen a baby dream? Zane is sleeping in my lap and every few moments his eyes flutter open to reveal that there isn’t anyone at home. He is elsewhere. His eyes are rolled back, possibly to better view the show inside his mind. His fingers are stretching, reaching and exploring. He smiles in quick smirks and face-filling grins. He is dreaming of things that only babies can, forgotten and buried in memories for the rest of us. His dreams are of innocence, and he is happy. It is a wonderful thing to see.
